I am a recent biomedical science first class degree graduate and beginning graduate medicine in September. I have just over a year tutoring experience mainly with GSCE level sciences. My approach to tutoring is that of identifying problem areas (i.e. exam nerves, difficulty retaining content) and finding bespoke solutions. Medical school entrance exams (both UCAT and GAMSAT) and interviews are both very familiar, in which I myself had a tutor for and found it greatly beneficial, and I am delighted to be able to share my knowledge and experiences of these exams, to help you achieve the elusive offer letters! A typical tutoring session with me begins with revising a few short questions that I encourage to be completed outside of the session; 15-20 minutes revising or learning a particular subject area; a short break; consolidating learning through question and answer together (15-20 minutes); 5 minutes of independent Q&A; and finishing with a session recap.
