I have extensive experience teaching Latin at all levels and teach up to GCSE Greek. Lessons are tailored to individual students and target their areas for improvement while maintaining their progress in what they excel at.

The lesson will often start with a short review of previous material in the form of a quiz or a game. I present new topics clearly and engagingly with reference the culture and history of the ancient world, encouraging lots of participation and thoughtful answers. Students then consolidate their learning through exercises and activities of a variety of styles for better acquisition of the language. Homework is set where appropriate and reviewed the following class.

I am patient and friendly but hold students to a high standard of work, not only teaching them Latin and Greek, but techniques and methods for learning which will benefit them in all their studies currently and to come.
