My lessons would be engaging and teach the content to the students in a way that suits them! I find active re-call really helped me when I was studying at school so I will use a lot of this method and short quizzes to test my teaching and if the students understand! I make my lessons interactive and interesting, not just content out a textbook like students may be used to at school! As for homework I will set something beneficial for the student each week and then we will go through it together the following week to ensure they understood the task and the reason for it! Depending on the subject, I will focus their learning on the areas they most struggle with, and adjust the lessons to a way of teaching that suits each student! Whether that be teach and re-call, textbook work, short quizzes and corrections or interactive methods. I have experience with year 2 students, improving their literacy skills with them whilst reading books with them. I would always help them with anything they were struggling with and use prompt questions after each page in order to check their understanding and further their knowledge of literature and flourish their english skills! Therefore I am more than used to readying students and helping to improve their skills within school and compliment any areas of their study that they kind difficult! I can tutor any subject at a primary school level however moving into secondary my preference is english and/or sociology as I did these for a level and am studying english at university!
