The content for GCSE:
I specialise in Macbeth, An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Power and Conflict Anthology, The Great Gatsby, Poetry in general.
The content for A-level:
Dracula, Twelfth Night, Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby, A Streetcar Named Desire.
I prefer to divide my lessons into categories, for example context, terminology, comparison and character descriptions. I find this is really helpful for a more efficient understanding of the text and allowing my students to be more independent with their learning and leading the sessions with their own perspectives and ideas.
I have experience in both lecture-style teaching and more close-knit interactive teaching. This is due to my assignments during my A-levels where I had to teach my class a piece relating to our texts and using resources to help. It also directly to relates to volunteer work I have completed in a nursery and secondary school.
Overall, I like to encourage independence and confidence in my students to be able to know their content wholly and work efficiently. I am also able to adapt my teaching to different age groups that can make content more understandable and easier for them to grasp based on their level of knowledge.
I hope this is helpful to grasp my teaching methods, please let me know if you need any more information from me. :)
