In order to make my lessons exciting and engaging i like to use a mixture of raw teaching, practice questions as well as small
quizzes to test knowledge. At the start of every lesson I always make sure to recap what we learnt the previous lesson to ensure we start fresh and raring to go. I teach maths as if it’s a passion rather than a challenge and that’s how it should be. I have had previous experience tutoring GCSE students 1-1 and from this I have developed skills in preparation, patience and communication and I believe that creating an environment where maths is fun is the best way to teach. I start by teaching the basics to ensure my students have a real backbone before we get into the more difficult topics. Once we have the basics nailed I begin to integrate more complex and more challenging concepts into my lessons.
