Olha Trotsenko

Hello, my name is Olha Trotsenko, and I am passionate about helping students enjoy learning and achieve their best. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they are given the right guidance and encouragement, and my goal as a tutor is to provide exactly that.

In my lessons, I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore new ideas. I use clear, step-by-step explanations to break down difficult concepts and combine this with lots of practice and problem-solving so that students can apply what they learn straight away. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and preferred way of learning, ensuring that no one is left behind and that progress feels both achievable and rewarding.

I enjoy making lessons dynamic and engaging by mixing explanations with examples, exercises, and discussions. Whether it’s revisiting the foundations or tackling advanced topics, I always aim to build understanding that lasts, not just short-term memorisation.

Alongside tutoring, I am currently studying Physics at Durham University, which allows me to bring fresh knowledge, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of how maths and science are applied in real life into my teaching.

Above all, I truly enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and ability. Watching someone go from feeling unsure to proud of their progress is the most rewarding part of tutoring, and I look forward to supporting many more students on that journey.
