English is known to be a complicated language but, can also be fun. This will be my main focus as having fun makes lessons more engaging. fun can be had through interactive lessons and games which aids in building competency. Lesson plans will generally be written using the five (5) 'E' format: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and, Evaluate. I have been using this model throughout my years as an educator which proves to be very effective.

Lesson will usually begin with an activity that aims to peak the learners interest. This is the ENGAGE part of the lesson.

During the 'EXPLORATION' phase students will actively explore the new concept through hands on learning experiences.

'EXPLAIN' This phase is led by the teacher and helps students synthesize new knowledge and ask further questions.

The 'ELABORATION' phase of the 5E Model focuses on giving students space to apply what they’ve learned. This helps them to develop a deeper understanding.

EVALUATE: The 5E Model allows for both formal and informal assessment. During this phase, teachers can observe their students and see whether they have a complete grasp of the core concepts.
