I am to teach primary students who want to broaden their maths knowledge. As well needing maths for the SATs, maths is more than numbers. Maths becomes a daily practice of life and it can only be applied if understood from a young age. In my opinion maths should be taught in a way that is exciting so that it is retained in the long term memory. Worksheets will be a vital part of my lessons. Ensuring that the student fully understands what they are learning is a key goal.
