My lessons happen fully online, tailored to adult beginners who are fitting language study around work, family, and the occasional existential crisis about whether a croissant counts as a personality trait. Each lesson is intentionally structured so that learners move steadily through French foundations: grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation without feeling overloaded or rushed. Content is introduced in meaningful chunks, meaning the focus stays on understanding how the language works, rather than memorising random phrases that evaporate from memory like morning mist.

I design all lesson materials myself, with a specific emphasis on how adults process new information. Lessons prioritise clarity, relevance, and active recall, regularly revisiting what you’ve already learnt to make it stick for the long haul. Rather than depending solely on textbooks, I create simple learning pathways that help adults recognise patterns across sentence structure and pronunciation, building confidence through practice that feels practical, human, and applicable outside the classroom.

Inside the lessons, the dynamic is collaborative and supportive. The aim is not perfection, but progress, the kind that lets learners speak without fear, make mistakes without implosion, and measure growth without charts that look like they were forged in spreadsheet purgatory. Sessions follow a logical flow from identifying goals to practising language that serves those goals in real conversations.

Although my main focus here is French tutoring, I bring over 10 years’ experience designing learning journeys and training material for adult audiences. My professional background in protection and gender programming across humanitarian and emergency response sectors means I understand high-pressure environments and the importance of structured thinking, adaptive communication, and inclusive facilitation. That perspective shapes my teaching: pacing that suits adult brains, communication that feels honest rather than robotic, and encouragement that builds competence and autonomy rather than dependency.

The long-term intention behind every lesson is simple: helping learners retain language, grow confidence, and develop the ability to use French beyond the screen.
