I have over four years of English teaching experience abroad in South Korea and online. I am well equipped for various learning abilities and styles so I can teach all levels from GCSE to adult learners. My lessons are typically 50 mins where I mostly coach rather than lecture.
I like to get to know my students' interests, goals and styles so I can create a plan to help them reach their goals. I like to focus on all skills in English (speaking, reading, writing, listening, literature) but lessons will be adjusted based on students' needs.
I start all my lessons with general conversation to build relationships with my students. I then introduce objectives and present the content for the student. We will have activity time to practice content and then a task at the end to test what the student has learned. I often set homework based on the capacity of the student. I like to be creative with my lessons and include different types of media such as videos in order to bring real-life context to our lessons, which will better prepare the students conversation-wise.
