My maths lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs to ensure clear progress and improved confidence. I begin by assessing the student’s current understanding to identify strengths, gaps, and learning goals. Each lesson follows a clear format: a focused explanation of key concepts, worked examples, guided practice, and independent questions to reinforce learning. This approach helps students build strong foundations while steadily improving accuracy and problem-solving skills.

I specialise in supporting primary and secondary school students, particularly those working towards GCSE Maths. My teaching style focuses on breaking down complex topics into simple, manageable steps and explaining them in a clear and approachable way. I use exam-style questions where appropriate and place emphasis on method, structure, and understanding rather than memorisation alone.

I have experience teaching maths privately to children of different ages and abilities, supporting them with homework, revision, and building confidence in topics they find challenging. Through this experience, I have learned how to adapt lessons to different learning styles and paces, ensuring each student feels supported and encouraged throughout the session.

My lessons are calm, focused, and supportive, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards maths that will benefit them long-term.

I also provide regular progress updates to parents and adjust lesson plans based on performance, ensuring consistent improvement and clear communication throughout the tutoring process.
