Phytsics can, for some, be intimidating and challenging so I focus on making sure the person I am helpling feels happy that they can ask any questions they need to and that they are supported. My aim is to ensure they get to the level of understanding that they need. I am aware that physics includes some complex topics which can be frustrating, so I take a calm and patient approach and do not rush. In my tutoring I work through past paper questions; use interactive questioning to check knowledge and ensure knowledge retention and understanding; and make use of diagrams and analogies to explain concepts. I found through both my own learning and tutoring that working through past papers is an effective way of mastering both content knowledge and exam technique. When tutoring my siblings, they reported that it was very useful for them to have the opportunity to ask me all the questions they hadn't understood from their school lessons. I am friendly and approachable and as a frecent graduate I am very familiar with the demands of being a student.
