I start with a very basic brief introduction about where a particular topic would be useful in their lives. Then I begin with a map about what all is covered in the topic and where they would have to concentrate the most. Then I give certain guidelines about how to approach this topic and how many times do they have to practice. Then i finally start with the topic and solve sums, I also engage students in solving sums first so that it becomes interactive and help them wherever they are stuck. I finally give homework so that they can solve it at their home and revise what all is done in the class. Even if the homework problems are wrong I still would appreciate the efforts that were put to solve the problem at least they tried solving math again. At the end I take topic wise tests and unit tests which helps them to see how much is required for them end to master the subject. This will let them know where they are standing and how much more efforts would be required to improve to a better position gradually. By this method i and the student both will make sure that Concept is understood Clearly, Improvement is Visible and Happy and Joyful Learning is attained. At last the student should be able to see that if i am scoring 6 out of 10 then first step would be to see how i can make it to 7 or 8 and not jump directly to 10.
