My lessons are designed to make Maths understandable, enjoyable, and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. I believe that with the right guidance and support, anyone can become confident in Maths. My approach focuses on breaking down difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and building a strong foundation before moving on to more complex material.
Each lesson begins with a short recap to check understanding of previous topics and identify any gaps. I then introduce new concepts through simple explanations and worked examples, encouraging students to think critically about how and why each method works. Practice is key, so I provide plenty of targeted questions, exam-style problems, and real-life applications to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
I also like to make my lessons interactive — I ask lots of questions, use visual aids when helpful, and adapt my teaching pace depending on how the student is progressing. At the end of each session, we summarise key takeaways and set a few short tasks to consolidate what we’ve covered.
I have experience tutoring students across a range of levels, from KS3 to A-Level, and understand the challenges that come with preparing for exams. My goal is to not only help students achieve their target grades but also develop problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and a genuine confidence in Maths. Above all, I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to improve every week.
