In terms of experience, this is my first time working a paid job, however, I have done a lot of work with younger students by being involved in both a peer mentoring and guided reading program at my school, hence, I am more than capable to teach your child how to achieve the best grades they possibly can. Moreover, I achieved an 8 in both English Literature and Language, and am currently studying English at a Year 12 level. I finished my GCSEs last year, and therefore, I am still very familiarised with the structure of the exams and what the exam board requires from you to subsequently achieve your desired grade.
I will begin my lessons by learning what my student can already do without my help, as this knowledge would assist me in knowing what areas to focus on throughout my lessons. I would aim to focus on one question off an English language paper a lesson, and learning how to perfect it throughout, however, if my student has a preferred structure of lesson, or a topic they urgently need to draw attention to, I would do that, as I prioritise my students wants and needs.
I would hope to make my student comfortable around me, so that they can honestly and earnestly answer any questions in regards to their studies, so I will provide my email so that my student and their parents can contact me - purely in an educational context - with ease.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me now, and I'll be more than willing to answer :)
