Hello! I'm a friendly, patient and relaxed Psychology and English tutor providing online tuition for English and Psychology. I have over 6 years of experience tutoring Psychology and English from GCSE to A-level, as well as tutoring Biology at GCSE and English/Maths at Key Stage 2, and enjoy helping my students feel more confident in their studies and achieve their academic goals.
Currently I work as a low intensity CBT therapist and tutor, but before this, I studied English and UCL and then a master's degree in Psychology. My interest in psychology and work as a psychological practitioner, means I am able to help students develop not only understanding, but also study skills and emotional resilience.
My teaching style is warm, flexible and centred around the individual student, as I believe that learning works best when students feel understood, encouraged, and comfortable asking questions. First I try to get to know the student - their strengths, areas of difficulties, interests and goals- and then develop a study plan that aims to support the student to reach their academic goals. I break things down step by step, and make sure everything feels manageable and achievable.
Lessons are flexible and interactive, combining clear explanations, discussion, and guided practice. Whether we’re working through psychological concepts, essay writing, reading comprehension, or exam preparation, I break things down step by step and make sure everything feels manageable and achievable.
Whether we are working through material, essay writing, exam preparation or study skills, my goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more confident, capable, and supported in their learning.
