Nina Harrison

Hello! I'm Nina, a King's College London alumna with seven years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance at HSBC and EY, where I also trained, managed and mentored graduates and interns. I'm passionate about using my academic and professional expertise to help young people achieve their full potential.

I offer GCSE tutoring in Maths, Economics, Business Studies, English, History and Biology. My approach is patient, engaging and tailored to each student's individual needs, focusing on building confidence, strengthening understanding and developing independent thinking. Lessons combine clear explanations, practical exercises, exam preparation and constructive feedback.

My professional experience has taught me the importance of breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and adapting explanations to different learning styles. Having worked in highly analytical environments, I can bring practical, real-world perspectives to lessons, particularly in Mathematics, Economics and Business Studies. Equally, my academic background has equipped me with strong research, writing and critical thinking skills that I can apply to essay-based subjects.

I understand that students have different strengths, challenges and ambitions. I take the time to identify areas requiring additional support and work collaboratively with students to establish achievable goals. Whether a student is aiming for top grades or simply wants to feel more confident in the classroom, I strive to make every lesson productive, supportive and enjoyable.

I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and rewarding while helping students achieve their academic ambitions. I also place particular emphasis on helping students overcome challenges, develop effective study habits and approach examinations with greater confidence and independence.

I offer flexible online tutoring, including weekdays, evenings and weekends, and would be delighted to support students throughout their GCSE journey.
