My German lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, age, level, and learning style. Whether you or your child would like to improve conversational skills, build confidence for travel or work, receive support with homework and assignments, or prepare for GCSE, A-level, or other German exams, lessons are structured, supportive, and engaging.

I begin by assessing the student’s current level and discussing individual objectives so we can create a clear and achievable learning plan together. Lessons are carefully adapted to suit each learner, taking age and proficiency into account. They usually combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while lessons for younger children are more play-based and interactive to keep learning enjoyable and motivating. For conversational learners, I use guided discussions, role-plays, and real-life scenarios to help build fluency and confidence.

For exam preparation, lessons are more targeted and structured. We work through exam-style questions, key vocabulary, and grammar topics, and practise listening and speaking tasks commonly used in UK exams. I also help students develop effective exam techniques.

I am a native German speaker and have lived in the UK for many years, which allows me to explain German in a way that makes sense to English speakers. I have experience teaching at a German Saturday School and hold postgraduate degrees from universities in both Germany and the UK. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable, to help students feel confident and motivated while making steady progress.
