I have been teaching yoga since 2017
My corporate classes will have more of a dynamic feel: we will start with slowing the breath down, followed by a physical practice and then a deep relaxation for the last 10-15 minutes or so. People leave feeling light but also grounded and ready to take on the rest of their work day.
The private classes are very client led. So sometimes it will take the form mainly of yoga discussion, chatting about the philosophy of yoga and include pranayama (breathing exercises) and a little of physical postures. At other times it will be a very physical practice and focusing perhaps on a runner's tight hamstrings.
I work closely with local Social Prescribers and GP Surgeries bringing 10 week yoga programmes into the community for people living with loneliness, mild depression and anxiety. I am very grateful and feel blessed being able to share my love and experience with yoga in all its forms with the community.
And my weekly group classes will follow a theme for instance, chakras and we will incorporate the physical postures (asanas) into these themes.
I also teach a weekly chair based class in a residential care home. They teach me and I teach them, we learn from each other.
I teach a mix of in person and online classes. And particularly for the private classes this is determined on a weekly basis on the client's family and work commitments and availability.
