I have been teaching for over 20 years. I started my English teaching career in 2003 in Switzerland doing private lessons for business professionals. I then moved to Japan where I had students of all ages, usually either one-on-one or in small groups. At this point I knew that teaching was my passion and I went to the US to get my Masters in Education and while I was there I taught high school English for 4 years. After which, I moved to the university level. I taught English and academic writing at a university in Bangkok, Thailand and then became the Associate Director of the Bachelors of Arts in English. While I was there I got a second masters from the University of Liverpool in educational research. I have also taught writing classes at San Jose State University in California. I have experience teaching English, literature, writing, and research writing. I also have experience teaching art history and film history as well as drama. Currently I am back to teaching English language and I am working at a university in Colombia, where I have been for the last 6 years. I have also been tutoring students for the past year in English language and I have worked with students of all levels.

I hope you will study with me. I focus on personalizing lessons for each student, making sure to meet your needs. However, most importantly, learning languages should be fun! I focus on doing fun, communicative activities that will help you actually use the language in realistic situations.
