My lessons are supportive, structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I begin by getting to know your personal goals, strengths and any challenges you’re facing, so we can create a clear and realistic plan together. This helps you feel more organised and confident about what you need to focus on.

Sessions are interactive and practical, with a strong emphasis on developing study skills, organisation and effective revision techniques. We might break larger tasks into manageable steps, create personalised revision timetables, or explore strategies to improve focus, memory and understanding. I also help you build good habits, such as time management and prioritising workload, so you can stay on track between sessions.

I use a combination of clear explanations, modelling and guided practice to support your learning, gradually helping you become more independent. I will regularly review progress and adapt lessons to suit your pace, learning style and any upcoming deadlines. I also provide useful resources and strategies that you can use outside of lessons to reinforce your learning.

With experience teaching across all primary age groups and more recently supporting students in higher education, I understand how learning develops over time and the different demands at each stage. I am approachable, patient and encouraging and I focus on building positive relationships so you feel comfortable asking questions and staying motivated.

My aim is to not only support you with your current work, but to give you the confidence, skills, and strategies you need to succeed independently and in the future.
