A leading Graphic Designer with over 25 years experience in industry, both as a business owner and working within agencies. I have been trusted to create some of the UK's leading brands as Creative Director, & have worked with the likes of the National Trust, Tesco, B&Q, The East India Company, and Newby Teas with whom I still work. You will see my work in everyday life, it's probably sitting in your cupboard right now, or in your pocket (as a coin designer).
Having been an employer and business owner, my reputation is that of an encouraging mentor, recognising talent and pushing people to fulfil their potential within a gentle, patient framework. I will want to hear of your bold ideas, as well as deliberating on the smaller nuanced details that will make your work stand out. You'll pick up lots of technical insight that will give you an edge with potential employers, for instance creating print ready artwork, and I will help you build a fabulous portfolio, the sort that only somebody with front line experience recognises.
We can use live tutorials, or you can submit work to be analysed and critiqued for development. Creative work is incredibly personal and subjective, and it can be often difficult presenting it on.... be assured, however cliched, there are no rights and wrongs, and working through your ideas leads to better solutions, and ultimately you realising the inner genius that you are.
