I have over 100 hours of experience tutoring GCSE and A-level English. My pupils have a track record of improved grades, whether that be moving from a 4 to a 6, or from a 7 to a 9.

My tutorial sessions are practical-based. The aim is to give you the confidence in your knowledge and skill set so that you can go out and perform to the best of your ability in your exams. My sessions feature lots of targeted exam-based practice - this includes close reading activities, essay plans and short writing activities. Full-length essays I tend to set once every three weeks and are completed as homework. A particular benefit of my tuition is that I give detailed comments and feedback on essays.

I’m currently an English Literature masters student at Bristol. I received my undergraduate from the University of Oxford, where I got a First. I have a CELTA teaching qualification (Cambridge-accredited qualification for teaching English as a foreign language), and have taught English in Austria and Japan.
