Online, I will use the now standard software like Zoom, screen sharing a clear and eye catching PowerPoint presentation regarding the passage, poem or concept of the day. I am quite an energetic tutor thanks to my theatrical background and I seek to ask students as many questions as possible to encourage and empower them. I want you to feel like you will understand, can understand and do understand. There are more personalised ways to get our minds around a piece of literature than we may consider at first. Literature is often far more relevant to our own lives and interests than we tend to think. The best moments are teaching is helping students realise just how knowledgeable, confident and powerful then can be.
