A Metaphorical Exordium on My Teaching Methodology.

Through my easy, interactive graded method,
Where learning shall be 'fun-filled',
Through many skilled practices.
Where we can talk, recite, sing, read and write
Our way to mastery,

Blossom into 'noteworthy verses'!
Neville Gardner, M.A. English, B. Ed. T.T.C. Univ. of Cambridge O & A levels, MOOCs (CPD).
In a couple of the schools I worked in, I helped begin and develop them from scratch - and that's been my forte (my strength) - as it has helped me teach from 'beginner-level' to advanced levels. Now with digitaltechnology invading education at such a fast pace and entering classrooms, I've also had to adapt and thus, I recently began 'teaching online' too! A positive result for me certainly, as - 60 years of age is the retirement age here, but now I CAN continue to teach, tutor, coach, remedy, accelerate and mentor YOUR English Language Learning, according to YOUR requirement 'ONLINE' with my graded lesson plans which include: bringing-out through- CONVERSATION or WRITING - 'lesson-topics' - for example - 'The syntax of English'. - An introduction could be - What should the 'aim of the lesson' clarify to us? (5 minutes), then its presentation - understanding of
words and phrases to form sentences - (15 minutes). Finally, to conclude our lesson, our recapitulation - revision(verbal/written) and graded exercises for practice - (10 minutes).
I've taught 'Beginners' through the singing of nursery rhymes which act as natural tongue twisters, phonicboosters and confidence-builders. Then, graded conversational-verbal(oral) and written exercises, right up to
advanced, both academic and business English (including avoiding"plagiarising"). We've touched upon resume/
email writing, d of course, international language 'examination' preparation too. We've done picturecompositions for 'originality and creativity', where we've talked about our observations as part of 'Spoken
English' - onwards to easy quizzing and debating with emphasis on vocabulary and syntax enhancement. A runthrough of the parts of speech improves our comprehension of the meaning of the word - sentence, which is, a
'group of words making total sense'. This little 'confidence-building measure' ensures FLUENCY in
pronunciation, accent, voice-tone, modality and "the syntax of English. I love writing my own poetry so could
help YOU APPRECIATE POETRY example, "the start of my years of inspiration began in 1983, spent
amongst the glorious, gleaming Himalayan peaks, learning to be as observant as an eagle, as metaphorical as a
poet and as patient as a sage - transforming these skills, qualities and virtues into the teacher I've been, still am
and hope to be always remembered for!". I can teach other subjects too, but that's in another chapter
