My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I have previous experience working as a Maths Tutor with Action Tutoring, where I supported students with different ability levels and learning needs. I learned how important it is to be patient, encouraging and flexible, especially when a student lacks confidence or finds a particular topic difficult.

I usually start by understanding what the student already knows and identifying the areas where they need the most support. I then break each topic down into simple, manageable steps and use clear examples and practice questions to help them understand it properly. If something does not make sense the first time, I am happy to explain it in a different way and work at the student’s own pace.
I also regularly check understanding throughout the lesson, rather than simply moving on, so I can make sure the student is genuinely following the topic. My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving step by step.Whether a student needs help catching up, building confidence, strengthening their Maths skills or preparing for exams, my goal is to help them become more independent and confident in their learning.

I can also communicate confidently in English, Punjabi, Hindi and Cantonese, which helps me connect with students from different backgrounds and explain things in a way that feels clear, comfortable and easy to understand.I always try to make lessons positive and engaging, so students leave each session feeling more confident, motivated and ready to improve.
