I’d begin with a short exercise of something that I’ve evaluated the student has been struggling with in their educational journey, in order to slowly but surely improve this aspect. Then I would get onto the official lesson in which I would teach them a topic of their specification and this would involve learning/recapping but also exercises that will improve their exam technique such as special vocabulary needed in a subject such as biology to get marks in the exam.
