I scored an overall 9 on my IELTS. Since then, I have been teaching IELTS privately and tutoring children online based on their school requirements.

I have been in the teaching industry for 3 years now, though this was a side project. My main vocation was communications in marketing and advertising for over 12 years. These have brought me in touch with various audiences and products across many countries and has taught me how to adapt the English language in order to communicate colloquially.

Though I'm from Bangladesh, my first language was English, having been raised in New York. My passion for language stems from trying to understand people and how words are used in accordance to psychology. I am aiming to pursue studies in Psychology to better expand my knowledge on the matter.

Observing and learning from people, books, movies, music and documentaries has taught me all forms of the English language. This gives me an edge in teaching that allows me to bring in interesting modes of language usage that many find helpful in learning the language and its correct usage in various circumstances.

My past students would tell you that I am a care-free spirit who likes to delve into deep conversations that they later found to be educational. I like to use conversation to teach, referring to pop-culture subjects that keep things interesting. There are many burdens of the mind in place for students and one of the core ways of reaching them is to keep things interesting.
