Nathan Mountain

Nathan is a full time Freelance Camera Operator and Video Editor based in Hampshire, UK. Working for Video Production Companies, Marketing Agencies or directly with businesses, he specialises in high end, professional Promotional Videos, Social Media Videos, In House Content, Website Videos and Commercials.

With 8 years of career experience, Nathan has shot and edited for many well known brands, through productions companies or directly with the brands, such as TikTok, NVIDIA, Adobe, Garmin, and Vodafone.

Nathan is also a writer and director working across multiple filmmaking disciplines. He began his filmmaking career working as a Camera Operator - shooting shorts, features, and commercials for a wide range of directors before moving into directing in 2024.

Nathan has been a creative part of many productions despite only being 8 years into his career; from writing and directing his own award winning short films, to being DoP on corporate commercials, even to being the BTS Camera Operator and Video Editor on Jeepers Creepers: Reborn and 97 Minutes starring Alec Baldwin.

The videos that Nathan films and or creates range from simple Event and Festival Highlights videos, to Instructional videos, to TV Commercials and much more.

I specialise in helping people understand the practical side of filmmaking and photography, from camera basics and composition to lighting, storytelling, and editing workflows. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a student, or someone looking to improve their creative confidence, I focus on breaking things down in a clear, relaxed, and supportive way.

My teaching style is very hands-on and tailored to your goals, whether that’s learning how to use your camera properly, building a portfolio, understanding film language, or developing your own creative ideas. I’m passionate about helping people find their own voice visually, not just teaching technical settings.
