I plan to use the sessions provided efficiently, I will go through topics and highlight initial areas to work on and prioritise those. Gradually we will go through the curriculum until we are confident in most, if not all topics. I will do this by exam questions for older pupils, worksheets, games and conversation. If my first method is not effective, then I will adapt to suit the pupil. I will keep it light-hearted and relaxed, with drive to succeed. I have full belief everyone is capable of achieving “awesomeness” (if that’s even a word, if not, now it is) in every way. I will guide my pupils along every step of the way.
My ultimate goal is to become a Primary School Teacher, so this is the perfect way for me to get some experience and guidance to the best at my goal career as I can.
I used to hate subjects, just like I’m sure many of my pupils will, this led me to not try. However, I found it was the WAY I was being taught over the content. The content will never change no matter how much you like it or not, however, the way you get taught and the way it gets explained can be adapted. This is fundamental to a successful learning journey.
I hope that I am the right tutor for new pupils, and fully understand if any changes need to be made. All my slots will be after school on weekdays and few slots at the weekend, I wish for this availability to be respected.
