My teaching methods consist of providing students with a split of theory and essay based lessons. After I give students essay based questions to practice, we mark those questions together, whilst highlighting strengths and improvements. Following this, I quiz each student at the end of each week with theory questions in order to cement their knowledge.
If I am teaching a student the English language as a foreign languags, I tend to start a conversation with them regarding current topics such as Politics, the Economy, Literature, Sports, Gastronomy, etc.
Tutoring has allowed me to develop my communicative skills through online platforms, ensuring that I articulate subject content clearly and correctly, An example of this has been the use of simple terminology to break down complicated topics that my students have struggled to understand, due to its sophisticated terminology. Another key attribute of mine is patience and understanding the student's difficulties, as students are bound to make mistakes with their work. As a tutor, it is important to be patient, as students must learn from their mistakes in order to improve in their studies.
