I start by assessing the student’s current level and identifying strengths and areas for improvement, which allows me to personalise the content and pace of each lesson.

Lessons typically include a focused explanation of key concepts, guided practice, and independent questions to reinforce understanding. I place strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to approach questions, manage time effectively, and avoid common mistakes. For SAT-level students, I ensure lessons are interactive and supportive, using clear examples and step-by-step methods to make learning feel manageable and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

My academic background has given me a solid understanding of how students learn and how to explain complex ideas in a simple, accessible way. Having achieved strong results at GCSE and A level, and now studying Biology at university, I am familiar with the expectations of exams and the importance of consistent revision and effective study habits. I regularly encourage students to ask questions and think critically, creating a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
