Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I would explain why something is incorrect and guide the student toward finding the right answer themselves. This helps them become more confident and independent in using English. I also believe that encouragement is just as important as instruction. I would celebrate progress, be patient when the student struggles, and make sure that feedback is constructive and motivating. My goal would not only be to teach English, but to help the student feel increasingly confident communicating in English. Ultimately, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling that they have learned something useful, made progress, and are capable of improving. By combining clear teaching, patience, and genuine encouragement, I would work to build a trusting relationship that makes learning English both effective and enjoyable.
