Nailia Konkina

I am a qualified Russian tutor with a strong academic background, fully integrated into the UK educational system. I hold a university degree in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language and Linguistics. I work closely with UK schools and specialise in Pearson Edexcel GCSE and A-Level preparation, regularly attending official Pearson training to stay fully updated on current exam requirements, marking criteria, and assessment strategies.

Along with my exam work, I actively participate in international teaching conferences on Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) and bilingualism, bringing contemporary, evidence-based methodologies into my daily practice.

What I offer:
• GCSE & A-Level prep with a clear focus on exam techniques, past papers, and scoring strategies.
• Structured RFL courses for adults and young adults, from complete beginner to advanced.
• Tailored, engaging programmes for bilingual children designed to retain and expand their Russian skills.

My Teaching Approach:
Every lesson is tailored to your specific goals, pace, and background. We build real communicative confidence by integrating grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and listening through practical examples and interactive digital tools. Lessons are held in a supportive, friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own speed.

As a parent raising a bilingual child here in the UK, I know firsthand both the joy and the real challenges of keeping our native language alive. I completely understand how much it means to parents to nurture their children’s Russian while helping them seamlessly thrive in the school system.
