Lesson Format & Personalisation:

Our journey begins with you. In our first session, we'll discuss your specific goals—whether you're preparing for the HSK, planning a trip, communicating with family, or simply exploring a new passion. Every lesson is then tailored to this path. I use a structured yet flexible format: we'll start with a brief review, introduce new concepts through clear explanations, and then spend the majority of our time in active practice.

Lesson Content & Dynamics:

I believe in learning by doing. Rather than just memorizing rules, we will use the language in practical, interactive ways. Our sessions will be a blend of:

Conversational Practice: We will focus heavily on speaking and listening, using role-plays and discussions based on real-life scenarios.

Engaging Materials: I use a variety of resources beyond textbooks, including news articles, Chinese social media clips, song lyrics, and short videos to keep the content fresh and relevant.

Cultural Insights: Language and culture are inseparable. I will help you understand the "why" behind the "what," making your understanding deeper and more authentic.

A Touch of Music: Drawing from my background as a music tutor, we'll pay special attention to the "music" of Mandarin—its tones and natural rhythm—to help you speak more fluently and confidently.

My Experience & Approach:

As a holder of a National Teacher Certification and with years of one-on-one tutoring experience, I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. My approach is always patient and encouraging. I create a low-pressure space where you can feel comfortable making mistakes, as they are a crucial part of learning. My job is to be your guide, providing clear feedback and celebrating your progress every step of the way.
