Firstly, my lessons would be heavily based according to student’s personal abilities. For example, if the student is a beginner, I would start off by ensuring they know all of their basic vocabulary and grammar skills. The lessons are online, so I would teach them exactly how to write grammatical sentences and paragraphs with excellent punctuation one-to-one and then I would give them practise questions. According to lesson time, it will be split in half, where we would spend one half focusing on content and second half focusing on questions and practicing. However, this may alter slightly so if the student is, for example, at a higher level, we would focus on more detailed texts and learn analysis (i.e GCSE English Literature/Language) and I would focus on teaching them key exam skills and also how to write grade-9 level paragraphs. Because I teach for a range of age groups, all of this would change accordingly. Please message me for more detailed information! I have tutored mostly children aged 5-9 and they all followed this same lesson layout each time. I prefer using this lesson dynamic because it is proven to be the most effective and efficient way of teaching students so they can excel!
