I like to involve my students in the inductive method of learning the language and have knowledge of English in each and every aspect of their lives. I use a student-centered teaching method making my students inculcate a number of scenarios and real life situations which provide them ample opportunity to engage with the target language. Moreover, I encourage my students to absorb a variety of texts and content that range from a topic on history to the present, travelling to respite, mind and body, life and death—and whatever the student shows his/her interest in. Discourse analysis and making pragmatic hinta using language are also keys for a learner to get engaged with.
Reading skills focusing on the semantic and syntactic areas of the language gives the students the best tactics to dive into the realm of lanaguage where they would be able to absorb their desired tone and register.
Furthermore, I encourage my students to go through a variety of texts to understand the nature and tone of the writer. Most often, it gives us opportunity to develop our own style and tone as we become more and more involved with the writer’s style of writing. This has been a best practice for me when I was a student and trying to engage myself in writing tasks. Reading can not be overemphasized when we come to talking about writing. Writing is the partner of reading which help us express ourselves as well as engage us with using the target language.
