I believe every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement.
My lessons are tailored to individual needs, focusing on clear explanations, strong foundations, and practical strategies that build confidence, understanding, and results. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and enjoy learning.
Proven Results
Students have achieved significant improvements in grades and confidence, including:
• GCSE Maths improvement from Grade 2 to Grade 6
• GCSE English improvement from Grade 3 to Grade 5, enabling progression to A-Level English
• Successful progression to further and higher education
Supporting students to achieve their goals and unlock future opportunities is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
Experience
With over 35 years of teaching experience, I have worked across:
• Nursery, Primary, Secondary, and GCSE Education
• Independent and State Schools
• SEN Settings
• Private Tuition and Home Education
I have extensive experience supporting students with dyslexia and other learning differences, adapting lessons to suit individual strengths and needs. I also work closely with home-educating families, either independently or alongside parents.
Flexible Tuition
I offer flexible scheduling where possible to accommodate family and study commitments, particularly during GCSE preparation.
Many families return when younger siblings need support, reflecting the trust built through successful tutoring relationships.

Success
I have had great success in online tuition. One student improved his Maths grade from a 2 to a 6.
Another student improved her English grade from a 3 to a 5 and that enabled her to continue to A level English studies. (Barry in reviews)
I recently tutored my step grandson, and he is now successfully studying at university.I aim to make a difference to the life choices of the students that I take on.
I have taught in Nursey settings up to GCSE for thirty-five plus years. This has been in the state,
Independent and SEN sectors.
\
I have a great deal of experience with dyslexic students of all ages.
I have also worked as a tutor for home-schooling either as support for parents or as sole tutor.
I have a great deal of flexibility in my week. I am fully aware of the high demands on students studying for GCSE and for the right student that I take on I can adapt my availability around the student and their family. have several families who come back to me to tutor siblings as they develop trust and confidence in my support.
I am here to help with a broad range of knowledge, enthusiasm, and compassion.
Learning should be fun!
