I have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from Teacher records and have recently completed my bachelor's degree in Education, majoring in English as a Foreign Language and Life Orientation. I have an accumulated experience of 2 years with teaching English as a language and as a subject. I fully understand what it means to be a teacher, and have had classroom practice. My lessons are learner-centered and are designed to suit your needs as the learner. As your tutor, I believe it is of utmost importance that learning objectives are met and realized through constant interaction with the subject matter. In this sense, I organize my classes based on your cognitive level and competence. I use a laptop, relevant textbooks, and PowerPoint presentations for class. Exams, quizzes,and tests are written weekly to measure your progress and also assess which English language skills you have acquired to date. Students will also receive an assignment in preparation for a formal exam. The assignment is to be handed in via email and will be discussed in class to ensure that all students understand the content being taught to them, and determine their readiness for the exam.
