I have informal English teaching experience.

I supported my friends mother that is a native french speaker to learn more english.

I did an initial briefing to asses why she wants to learn english so I could curate the best lesson plans for her. From the assessment we established that she wants to learn english to speak to her students better, when she travels to english speaking countries and consolidate the english that she currently knows.

Over the course of 2 month she was more confident in speaking english, her english grammar improved and her speaking was more confident. As a result she could support a mother at the school she teaches that has a child with learning disabilities. The mother had been struggling because she was english speaking and all other school staff did not have the english speaking capacity to support her efficiently.

My teaching style is never copy and paste. I will always curate a unique plan and teaching method that suits each individual, their goals and learning styles.

I utilise lots of different resources such as videos, pictures and audio. I do not use the typical lecture style of teaching. I also ensure that the student does more of the speaking in a lesson.

I use this approach to ensure the student is speaking more than listening because students remember what they have said more than more they have heard a teacher said.
