My lessons will be mostly based around the ways in which you learn best. We're all different learners, so I aim to adapt my sessions to accommodate your preferences. Whether you prefer visuals like diagrams, relating content to the real world or simply having all the key details laid out to then later absorb, I can tailor the way I run the lessons accordingly. I have lots of experience designing and producing powerpoint presentations, so I know how important clear communication is! We'll go at whatever pace you need and if a break is necessary so be it! Nothing gets learned when the content is overwhelming. As for the content, I am familiar with the different examination levels for English and Linguistics and performed well at GCSE, A Level and at university. I can take heavy topics and make them into fun short activities to make learning more engaging. As well, I am passionate about demonstrating how English studies relate to real world applications, so I aim to weave this through the lessons too. Bringing a subject like English back down to earth can make it all the more manageable. I will always make room for any questions and welcome any tangents we may encounter. A good discussion is more effective in my opinion than worrying whether a specific task is done!
