Warm-Up (5–10 mins): We start with a quick activity or visual prompt to get into a creative mindset.
Main Task (30–40 mins): I introduce a technique or concept (e.g. shading, colour theory, composition, mixed media, etc.), followed by guided practice. I demonstrate steps live or share visual examples, depending on the medium.
Feedback & Reflection (10–15 mins): We finish with feedback and discussion. I offer constructive suggestions and encourage students to reflect on their work and progress.
Lessons are flexible and can focus on drawing, painting, photography, digital art, or project-based learning depending on interest.
I incorporate art history or contemporary artist references to inspire and broaden understanding.
I’m a photography graduate from Manchester Metropolitan University, currently training to teach Secondary Art and Design through a PGCE course.
I have experience working with young people in both school and creative settings, and I’m DBS-checked.
I’m approachable, patient, and passionate about making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or developing your style.
