My name is Mollie, and I’m an English tutor dedicated to helping students build confidence, master key skills, and achieve the grades they’re aiming for. I achieved full marks in GCSE English Literature and an A* at A-Level, and I now study at UCL, where analytical writing, critical thinking, and clear communication are central to my degree. These strengths shape the way I teach: structured, supportive, and focused on real progress.
I work with students at GCSE and A level, offering tailored support in both English Literature and English Language GCSE and English Literature A Level. Whether a student wants to secure top grades, strengthen their essay-writing, or rebuild confidence after a difficult mock, I adapt each session to their needs and learning style. My approach centres on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps, teaching students how to analyse rather than memorise, and helping them express their ideas with clarity and purpose.
In Literature, I guide students through practice questions, thematic understanding, and effective use of evidence. In Language, I focus on crafting strong arguments, improving descriptive and analytical writing, and developing exam-ready techniques. Across both subjects, we produce revision resources together and I aim to make English feel accessible, engaging, and even enjoyable.
I offer online sessions, with flexible scheduling and resources included. My goal is simple: to help every student feel capable, prepared, and proud of their progress.
If you’d like to discuss your goals or arrange a trial session, I’d be delighted to help you get started.
