As a qualified and experienced Maths teacher, my tutoring sessions are carefully designed to be clear, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you’re working towards your GCSEs, Functional Skills, or simply want to boost your confidence in Maths, my lessons are built around your goals and learning style.

Each session begins with a short warm-up activity to review previous learning or address common misconceptions. From there, we move into the main topic, breaking it down step by step with guided examples, visual aids, and real-life applications to help you understand not just how Maths works, but why it works. I use a mix of interactive questioning, worked examples, and targeted practice, ensuring you stay actively involved and supported throughout.

I regularly assess understanding through short quizzes, mini-plenaries, and exam-style questions, helping you build exam technique and long-term confidence. I also provide personalised feedback and strategies for improvement after each session.
With years of experience teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 Maths in schools and through one-to-one tuition, I’ve helped students of all abilities make real progress, many improving by one or two grades. My approach is calm, supportive, and flexible, always encouraging students to ask questions, take risks, and believe in their ability to succeed in Maths.
