My main aim for students’ learning is to understand and be able to use English natively. When I say this, I don’t mean they have to speak like a British person. I say native as they do not need to have a thought before saying things, like it is their native language. I will make sure that students understand the grammar and then to move on to writing, speaking and reading as a follow up step. This way, it allows students to take little step. I learnt the importance of this through teaching in primary school(as my university placement). I am also planning to use a scheme called phonics, where the students learn the sound of each letter to use it on daily basis. I personally feel that it is important to build a strong foundation at the start rather than undertanding difficult grammars. I am hoping to see a wonderful students that would love to learn English and use English as their second language!
