About me

I am someone who has always loved maths; always looked forward to it and always wanted to improve. This pushed me to get an A in my GCSE’s and then follow up on my love for maths at college where I also gained a qualification in further maths at A levels.

Whether you need a helping hand to get that pass you know you can achieve or whether you want to push for that 9/A grade. Personally I believe that maths should not just be a series of questions but there should be fun to it eg. Fun little starter questions, maths games and brain teasers/problem solvers. This way (to me at least) makes maths enjoyable and helps what you have learnt stick with you better as you are excited about what you are learning. And that is why I like to grow a connection with my students and not just teach at them. I want to make them look forward to our extra studies as that excitement can go a long way in that fateful day in June.

My lessons will also involve lots of the greatest cheat code you can possibly use … Past paper questions! These give you a wide variety of knowledge and questions often get recycled or a new one created that is very similar that could pop up on your final exam.

I also want to help you in seeing how maths can be used outside of the classroom. In your day to day life and not just how it can be used theoretically and written on the paper in front of you never to be used for anything other than that.

Technically I was never ‘tutored’ as such as I was never one of his clients but he is actually my brothers friend and when he came over he used to help me with my work. I found him to be very helpful as he taught me how to understand the questions and methods logically as if they was a real world problems. This helped me to see what I was asked by the question very differently and it finally allowed me to understand the reasoning behind the method and what the answer will actually mean. He is a very helpful teacher and would deffo recommend.
