My lessons are structured but relaxed, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and explore ideas. Sessions usually begin with a brief check-in to identify what the student wants to focus on and any areas they’re finding challenging. From there, lessons are tailored to their specific goals, whether that’s understanding key concepts, preparing for exams, improving essay writing, or building confidence in a subject.
I use a creative and interactive approach, encouraging discussion, examples and real-world links to help make learning meaningful. Rather than simply giving answers, I ask students to explain what they think concepts mean in their own words, which helps develop critical thinking and deeper understanding. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s personality and learning preferences, using conversation, visuals, structured guidance or practical examples as needed.
With my background in psychology, social sciences and mental health, and as a current mental health nursing student, I bring both academic knowledge and a supportive, understanding approach to my teaching. I aim to make lessons engaging and enjoyable, while still focused on clear progress and academic success.
