Hello, my name is Mr Kenderov, and I am a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology teacher who enjoys creating an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
My teaching is built around clear routines, high expectations, and strong relationships. I believe students make the best progress when learning is carefully structured, practical, and accessible to everyone. I regularly use the “I Do, We Do, You Do” approach to model new skills, provide guided practice, and gradually develop students’ confidence and independence.
I also incorporate Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction into my lessons through retrieval practice, regular checks for understanding, effective questioning, and breaking learning into manageable steps. These evidence-informed strategies help students retain knowledge, develop practical skills, and build confidence over time.
As a Design and Technology teacher, I encourage creativity, problem-solving, and resilience through hands-on learning. I aim to create lessons that are both challenging and enjoyable, allowing students to apply their knowledge in meaningful, real-world contexts while learning from mistakes and improving their designs.
I value positive behaviour management, formative assessment, and reflective practice, using regular feedback to support student progress and adapt my teaching to meet individual needs.
Above all, I strive to inspire students to enjoy Design and Technology, develop confidence in their abilities, and leave my classroom with the practical skills, creativity, and resilience they need to be successful both in school and beyond.
