My lessons are aimed at students who want to build confidence and improve their understanding in Maths, particularly at GCSE level. I focus on helping learners who may feel overwhelmed by certain topics by breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps. I will go through content with my students, and go through past papers so they understand the format of questions. I will also try to make it fun by doing quizzes and answering any questions they may have on the subject. I have recently done my GCSEs so I know how stressful the time can feel and I hope to relieve that stress from my students. Most of my lessons will start with a quick quiz to see what my student's weakness is, and then from there we will learn the content. Towards the end, we will go through some past paper questions so my student can understand the format and how to present their work. Good tutoring dynamics are built on trust, clarity, and collaboration between me and the student. A strong dynamic begins with open communication — where I listen and adapt to the student’s individual learning style, pace, and goals. Lessons should feel supportive and student-led, with the tutor acting as a guide who builds confidence rather than simply delivering information. Encouraging questions, celebrating progress, and creating a safe space for mistakes are key to maintaining motivation. My dynamic with the student will include consistent feedback, positive reinforcement, and flexibility in teaching methods to ensure the student remains engaged and challenged without feeling overwhelmed.
