Minjee Kim

Hello! I’m Minjee, a native Korean speaker and experienced Korean language teacher with approximately nine years of teaching experience.

My lessons are personalised to each student’s level, interests and goals. Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve your conversation skills, need help with grammar and vocabulary, or simply want to become more confident using Korean, I will adapt the lessons to suit your needs.

I use a friendly, supportive and practical approach to teaching. Lessons can include speaking and conversation practice, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, depending on what you would like to focus on. I also provide useful learning resources and study techniques that you can continue using between lessons.

I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I therefore aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where you can build confidence while making steady progress.

As well as my Korean teaching experience, I currently provide one-to-one piano and vocal lessons. This has strengthened my ability to understand individual learning styles, explain difficult concepts clearly, give constructive feedback and adapt lessons according to each student’s progress.
